A Renovated Pool Home for Sale in Ozona — Meet 201 South Street
Looking for an Ozona Florida home for sale with a pool, no HOA, and a location where your golf cart might get more mileage than your car?
Meet 201 South Street — a renovated 3-bedroom, 2-bath pool home with 1,447 square feet, a heated pool, usable outdoor space, and easy access to the marinas, restaurants, breweries, Pinellas Trail, and all the other reasons people fall a little bit in love with Ozona.
And it’s officially LIVE.

First Things First: Why Ozona?
If you know Ozona, you already know.
If you don’t, it’s one of those little pockets of Pinellas County that doesn’t feel quite like anywhere else around it.
Yes, the mailing address says Palm Harbor. But Ozona is very much its own thing.
Golf carts. Boats. Breweries. Bikes. Marinas. Backyard get-togethers. Dinner by the water.
And absolutely no requirement that all the houses look alike.
You’ll find old Florida cottages next to renovated homes, newer construction mixed with homes that have been here for decades, and everything from tiny bungalows to serious waterfront properties.
It’s quirky. It’s coastal. And that’s exactly the point.

An Ozona Florida Home for Sale That’s More Than the House
You know those listings that say you’re “conveniently located” to something that’s actually 17 minutes away?
This isn’t that.
From 201 South Street, you’re tucked right into the Ozona lifestyle.
You have local restaurants, Ozona Brewing Company, nearby marinas, and the Pinellas Trail. Ozona Blue sits on the water at Home Port Marina, and Downtown Palm Harbor, Dunedin, Honeymoon Island, and Tarpon Springs are all within the broader area.
Boat. Bike. Golf cart. Car if you insist.
You have options.
Now, About the House…
201 South Street was built in 1966, but this isn’t a hello, 1966 situation.
The home has been extensively renovated into a bright, open, single-story layout with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and 1,447 square feet.

The kitchen has new cabinetry, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and a large center island.
There’s luxury vinyl plank flooring throughout, updated bathrooms, and a split-bedroom floor plan.
But pretty kitchens are easy to photograph.
The boring stuff matters, too.
And when you’re buying an older Florida home, the boring stuff can become very exciting very quickly.
Recent improvements include:
- Roof and flashing — 2024
- Electrical panel — 2025
- Water heater — 2025
- Appliances — 2025
- Pool pump and heater — 2025
- A/C — 2020
Those are exactly the things I want buyers paying attention to when they’re comparing older homes.
Because granite is great.
A newer electrical panel is also pretty darn attractive.

Yes, There’s a Heated Pool
This isn’t a house sitting on an enormous lot with three acres of grass you’ll spend Saturday mowing.
And I consider that a feature.
The outdoor space is set up around the private heated pool, with room for lounging, grilling, eating outside, and hanging around the fire pit.
There’s also a separate fenced side yard that gives you additional usable outdoor space.
So you can have the Florida pool lifestyle without accidentally acquiring a second career in lawn maintenance.
Win-win.

No HOA. No CDD.
I’ll give that its own section because I know some of you just perked up.
No HOA. No CDD.
That’s one of the differences between buying in an established community like Ozona and buying in many of the newer master-planned communities around Tampa Bay.
Of course, “no HOA” doesn’t mean “no rules.” County zoning, permitting requirements, and other regulations still apply.
But nobody is sending you a letter because your trash can was visible for 11 minutes too long.
At least not an HOA.
Yes, It’s Flood Zone AE — Here’s What That Actually Means
Let’s talk about the thing buyers of coastal Florida real estate should actually talk about instead of pretending it doesn’t exist.
201 South Street is in FEMA Flood Zone AE.
That does not tell you exactly what flood insurance will cost.
Flood insurance premiums can depend on the individual property, elevation, structure, coverage, insurer, and other underwriting factors. If you’re considering the home, get an actual property-specific flood insurance quote during your due diligence.
And don’t assume that because two homes are both “in Ozona,” their flood situations are identical.
They’re not.
Elevation, location, construction, improvements, and flood designation can vary from property to property — sometimes within a surprisingly small area.
This is one of those details where the actual house matters more than the ZIP code.
Could You Use It as a Second Home or Investment Property?
Potentially.
The home has previously been used as a short-term rental, which may make it interesting if you’re thinking about a Florida getaway that could potentially serve another purpose when you’re not using it.
But — and this is an important but — past rental use doesn’t guarantee future rental eligibility or income.
Before buying any property with plans to rent it, verify current zoning, Pinellas County requirements, licensing, taxes, insurance, and any other rules that apply to what you intend to do.
Don’t buy first and Google the rules later.
One Thing Buyers Get Wrong About Ozona
Price per square foot is useful.
It is not the whole story here.
Ozona isn’t a neighborhood of 200 nearly identical houses built by the same builder.
One house might have a newer roof and updated electrical system. Another might need both.
One has a pool. One has a bigger lot. Another has better water access.
Flood considerations vary.
Renovations vary.
Lot configurations vary.
And location within Ozona can matter depending on whether your version of the Ozona lifestyle involves a boat, a bike, a golf cart, restaurants, the trail, or all of the above.
So when I’m evaluating a house here, I’m looking beyond:
“What’s the price per square foot?”
I’m also asking:
“What am I actually getting for the money — and what am I going to have to spend after I buy it?”
That’s a much more useful question.

FAQs About 201 South Street and Living in Ozona
Is Ozona actually part of Palm Harbor?
The mailing address is Palm Harbor, but Ozona has a distinct identity and history of its own. When you’re searching for Ozona homes online, you’ll often find them listed with Palm Harbor addresses.
Can you drive a golf cart in Ozona?
Golf carts are definitely part of the scenery around here. That doesn’t mean you can drive one absolutely anywhere, though. Buyers should check current local regulations regarding legal golf-cart operation and permitted roads.
Does 201 South Street have an HOA?
No. There is currently no HOA and no CDD associated with the property.
Does the house have a pool?
It does — a private heated in-ground pool, plus outdoor entertaining space and a separate fenced side yard.
Is 201 South Street in a flood zone?
Yes. The property is in Flood Zone AE. Buyers should verify current FEMA information and obtain an actual flood insurance quote for the property rather than estimating the cost.
Is this a waterfront home?
No. 201 South Street is not waterfront.
You’re buying into the Ozona coastal lifestyle and proximity to marinas and the water — not paying for waterfront frontage.
And for some buyers, that’s exactly the sweet spot.
